Following the expansion of Crypto and Bitcoin, Crypto Enthusiasts and traders in Australia can now shop for Bitcoin at their local post offices. The news breaking out yesterday has stated that users of popular crypto website Bitcoin.com.au will be able to buy Bitcoin from more than 3,500 post offices all over the country. Customers were already able to purchase crypto from about 1,500 retail stores before but now will be able to complete transactions from Post offices. This will no doubt increase the number of crypto transactions in Australia since there is now more opportunity for people to trade in Crypto.
The CEO for crypto website Bitcoin.com.au thanks Australia’s post offices who helped implement this new service in their existing operations and also stated that the trust factor that people have with local post offices will make crypto adoption easier on first time users. Since those people are used to receive and send money, it will feel safer for them to trade in person that online. Australia is not the only place moving towards making Crypto available for the public. America is on top of this revolution with over 25,000 physical locations present for Bitcoin transactions while In September 2019, 7Eleven stores in the Philippines also started Bitcoin selling. Tobacco shops in France also have a similar service and we believe that the world will follow suit in adopting this innovation.
With the new trend of Bitcoin purchasing going viral in the world, companies have started finding new ways to make the concept of cryptocurrency expand with Bitcoin seemingly leading the charge. There is no doubt that the Crypto industry has had quite the successful start in the past decade with more and more people trading with the digital currency as time has progressed and going by the current flow, will continue to grow even more. Recently, there has been a massive growth in Bitcoin ATM’s all over the world with the number crossing 8,200 as well as Crypto buying capability in some stores as well. Through LibertyX, Bitcoin transactions have been made possible in over 20,000 physical stores in the US namely in 7Elevens, CVS stores and Rite Aid Pharmacies. According to the company, this is just the start and that these sources will only continue to expand.
So, what do you think about this expansion? Will Bitcoin keep expanding and will this make new users try it more? Will Australia benefit from this new operation?
